CONE PRICE INCREASE NOTIFICATION AND WIRE PRICING UPDATE
Dear Valued Customer,
Aluminum pricing has been on a small rollercoaster ride in 2006. The attached pricing index, as provided by Canimex (a leading die casting supplier to ISC) summarizes the aluminum pricing trend.
We were hoping the price increases early in 2006 would be short term. In addition, ISC had an abundant inventory of castings to ride through the spike.
Prices did come back down through June and July, but have leveled out to a price range approximately 15.5% higher than that of January of 2006.
ISC has made every effort to avoid a price increase on castings, but now has no alternative. Effective with orders placed November 13, 2006, pricing on all aluminum die cast products to include cones and drums will increase 15.5%.
Wire pricing remains stable at this time. ISC does not foresee any increases on the horizon through the remainder of 2006.
